Hello

Anyone been / going / thinking of getting tickets? I was checking out the prices and they aren't cheap thats for sure. My oldest dd (5yrs) keeps seeing the commercial and would like to go. I worry about driving down to Toronto b/w now and Christmas, because you just never know the weather (we live in the snow belt) ... but I'd like to go TOO Anyone know if it is a good (GREAT) show?

I too, was put off by the price of the tickets. I did find a discount offered by Time Hortons. If you use the promocode "child" online or by telephone at ticketmaster you receive $7 off a kid's admission. The small print reads that this offer is not valid during "peak" times. Still undecided whether to go or not myself.

Does anyone know what the adult price is? I noticed it and thought it would be a nice Christmasy thing to do...

Kind of steep ... but if it is an amazing show I would pay it. I tried typing in the "child" promo on the internet, but of course any show I wanted to go to was "PEAK" (as in weekend) ... kind of hard to go to many other ones for us with school / work!

If anyone sees it let us know how good it is!!

Another question ... just checked for tickets on Dec.17th at 1pm and could get row DD, which may be front row (off to left) as they say they dont' always use AA, BB, and CC ... but at 100 a ticket that is pricey. Anyways, IF I decided to splurge, do you think that is too close to the stage for a little one to look up at? Would she see better back a bit further and be able to take it all in. I haven't been to the Hummingbird Centre, so I was just curious!

I've been to the hummingbird Centre and sat in the very front rows a few times. My Mother always splurged to take her grandkids to the Ballet and wanted to get good seats. Honestly, it is pretty close and if someone tall is sitting in front of them the kids are out of luck. Those seats are on a flat surface. Also, something to consider is that, when you sit that close up you lose the perspective of seeing the patterns that a group of dancers make. Sure you can see them sweat and have a great view of their knees but you miss the big picture. I much prefer the balcony and I bring my binoculars. Than if I want to see something close up I can. Plus my kids love to play with the them and it keeps them occupied. I even like the really cheap seats in section 15 and 16 way at the back and over to the side. Than if my kids make alot of noise or move around alot I don't feel quite as embarassed or upset because those seats are usually packed with other kids instead of serious patrons who require silence to enjoy their high priced seats. But in the end, you choose to sit where you want. It certainly is exciting to sit up front.
