Ok Ladies! I need your recommendations for a full figure, supportive bra that does not look too grannyish. Thanks to being pregnant and/or nursing for 5 of the last 6 years, I'm pretty big and floppy.

Lets just say I feel like the song, "Do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro" applies to me if you change a key word! :rotfl:

I take a size 36DD/DDDish. I don't have a problem with straps digging in to me. I do not live by a bra fitting store. I'm looking for something that will lift, seperate, minimize, shape, and still not look like I'm wearing a grandma bra!

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Do you have a Lane Bryant store near you? They will measure you to make sure you are wearing what you should be. They have a lot of nice bras. They are under the same owners as Victoria Secret.

After I am done nursing #4, I am going to start saving for a breast lift...as well as a tummy tuck.

I might even forgo a trip to Disney to get them done...Gasp!

I don't have a Lane Bryant near me. Seriously, I live like 3 1/2 hours from any civilization. I'm a transplant in my area due to my husband's job. I can't wait to get back to real life.

When I'm done with #4, I'm gonna save for a reduction! And a tummy tuck might not be bad...thanks for the idea! :)

I agree with other posters about Lane Bryant. This link should take you to the brand that I like best.

The link should take you to the ones that I like best from Lane Bryant. I have not had any children, but had breast reduction and lift three years ago and went from a REALLY HUGE to only slightly huge. It was easily the best thing I have ever done for myself and have absolutely no regrets.

Anyway, I still use these type of bras, because I love them so much.

If you are sure about size, etc and live really far out, try going to jms.com. It's the Just My Size website. They have great bras (and other clothes) and they deliver by USPS or UPS. It works great when you just can't get to a store.

Another great internet option is Lady Grace - www.ladygrace.com. They have a huge assortment of bras, and usually have some on sale for very reasonable prices.

This is an older thread, but maybe you are still reading it! I don't think 36DD is full figured at all. I have been a 36DD for 5 years. I am a size 6 and have never had to go to a Lane Bryant for bras. Fredericks or Victorias Secret carries those sizes in nearly every style. When I was pregnant and nursing I went up to a 36F from Fredericks. I've gotten strapless and lace and every style in between from both places. The other bonus is our size is always left over and on sale!! The mistake that many larger women make is to get a bra without padding, I don't care how big you are, bras fit better with a little padding. It gives more support and lift and keeps you from looking floppy and having your nipples show, something not acceptable in a D cup unless you work at Hooters.
