Hope someone can help - its a bit niche, I know:rolleyes1

After our DPRP trip we plan to drive around to the other side of Paris for a day at Parc Asterix - DS(11) is desperate to go! We plan on spending most of the previous day in DLRP, driving round to a hotel for the night, one full day at PA, stay the night in the same hotel then back to the UK the next morning.

I know there is a hotel linked to the park, but from my research it seems to only have family rooms with one double and bunk beds - I suppose we could have a double and a twin, but has anyone stayed at that hotel, or has other recommendations for hotels near by? e.g. Campanile? Also restaurants for th evening? I have heard mixed reviews about the buffet in the PA hotel:headache:

TIA

Can't believe you have the gaul to ask that on here!

Sorry - couldn't resist, hope your question gets answered and have a great time in DLP :)

How many are in your party?

I stayed in a very nice 4* hotel called the 'Chateau Hotel Mont Royal Chantilly' which was pretty close to Parc Asterix. The rates were pretty reasonable for the class of hotel (£70 for a double).

Despite the name of the hotel, it's actually in La Chapelle-en-Serval which is a small town close to the park (about 10min drive at most).

Chantilly is another 10 minutes away but is truly beautiful and well worthy of a visit if you have time.

The nearest town of a decent size is Senlis. It's also a 10 minute drive from the park and there is an etap, ibis & a campanile there which should all be cheap and decent.

Senlis has lots of decent restaurants. We eat in one called Le Gril des Barbares which was great. It's in a cellar and was certainly a unique experience.

We like 4*:goodvibes There are four of us - me, DH and DS's 18 and 12. DS(18) is already 6' and DS(12) is well over 5' so bunk beds are out for us now:sad2: But now elder DS is an adult 2 rooms is an option:thumbsup2
