OT: Puppy names

We've got two Lab mixes: one black and one yellow.
The Black one's name is Shadow, not because of his color but because he followed my brother everywhere he went during the first few days we had him.
Our yellow one's name is Nilla (Short for Vanilla. She was one of 7 from a mother named Spice. Each of her siblings was a different spice: Cinnamon, Hazel, Nutmeg, Peppercorn). So maybe for a chocolate lab: Latte?

Oh and the chocolate lab down the street from us is Dixie although that only works for a girl.

Just named our puppy Dash, from Incredibles.

Our yellow lab is Violet...also from the Incredibles. They'd make a great pair!

My son just came up with the coolest name for his new guppy (yes, fish...LOL)


but I think it would be an even BETTER name for a puppy.

We have a black lab named Maddie. We chose it because Madison was on our list of baby names when our DD was born because I love the nickname Maddie. However, it is such a popular name and we did not want her to go to school and have a ton of Maddie's in her class, so we did not use it. Two years later when we got our puppy we used the name for her!

We own 2 labs - a chocolate and a black and both of them came from breeders. We could pick whatever name we wanted without approval, but we had to include the breeder name because that's the AKC requirement with breeder dogs.

So our almost 11 yr old male black lab is TL's Riverside Major Sydney Havoc and our 4 yr old chocolate is Alvarez's Cappuccino Gabrielle. They are respectably known as Sydney and Gabby. Gabby's dad is Whiskey and mom is Kahlua. We had seriously considered the name Bailey but we knew way too many people that had named their chocolates Bailey so that was out.

We always joked that if we had another male dog we'd name him Hoover (like the vacuum cleaner) because whenever we drop something on the floor in the kitchen the dogs are immediately there eating it or licking it.

We have Winnie

I was looking for just the right dog to get my hubby, for a wedding present he never had a dog, I had dogs growing up all the time. Anyway I saved and saved to get just the right dog, something small (you know start him off little, I thought)
Well I came home one night from work and in the living room sat the cutiest puppy, she was part boxer, part coon hound! I know your thinking...cute huh? Really she was/is! and she had the biggest ears and paws! No little anything~

Anyway long story short my husband's cusion just got her and was leaving to Texas and didnt want to take her along so offered her to my hubby for $25!!! That ended my 4 month search for the "perfect little dog" He had no idea I was looking to get him a dog, it didnt matter, cause Winnie fit us well~

Oh well, so I said if she stays I name her, hence Winnie cause I am a pooh fan~ And Winnie is pooh size for sure, nothing little about her, even her ears are big!
So are vote is for the name Winnie!

I have princess maddie, a schnoodle.
Mom has charlie, a schnoodle (brother to Maddie) and Mickey (the schnauzer)

Nutmeg (called megan) passed away about a month ago (a beautiful aussie, I miss her so much). We had Starlight Megan's sister but, she passed away a few years ago.

Growing up we had Angel and Abigal (Abby) aussie sisters.

My sister has Buddy and Patch (fabulous mixed breeds)

A dear friend has Nakita (a black lab), Mia and Dee Dee are collies

Lastly, another dear friend has tucker and Doc. (also awesome mixed breeds)

Hearing all the cute ideas makes me think if someday I get another dog????

I love reading about the names I can't wait to hear about your new family member and their name.
