OT Prayers Requested

I know. It's not budget related but you guys are my friends!

Tuesday night my dad found blood in his urine. He has an appointment with a urologist tomorrow. From what I read online, this may be nothing but then again... it may be something.

If you believe in prayer, if you could just say a little one that tomorrow's doctor's visit goes well, it is much appreciated!

Done! Please give us an update when you have one. I had the same symptom over Christmas and it turned out to be a kidney stone. I had no pain when it first started and freaked out about what it could be. It wound up being very painful, but at least not serious. I hope your Dad gets good news.

Your dad will definitely be in my prayers, too! Just to ease your mind a bit, I had the same scare about 8 years ago. I had blood in my urine. It turns out I had a bad kidney stone that hadn't started being painful yet. I was so worried when I first had issues. You know how you always think the worst once you start looking on the Internet. I'll be praying it's something else minor for your dad.

Thank you SO MUCH for your prayers! I DO believe in it's power and it can't hurt to have strength in numbers.

I don't have much of an update. The doctor was a little worried about the amount of blood (and clots) in his urine. He has to go on Sunday to a local hospital to have a CT scan and then back to the doctor on Wednesday for a cystoscopy.

Of course, I hope this is nothing. But my faith tells me to pray for exactly what a previous poster mentioned: wisdom of the doctors and strength for my family to deal with whatever card we may be dealt.

Right now, my dad feels great. He is in Columbus with my DH and DS because our local high school (my DS is a senior-not on the team) is playing in the state semi-finals for basketball. He called the doctor at the first sign that anything was wrong. I'm hoping that is a good sign.

Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers. I'll update again after he goes to the doctor on Wednesday with any additional news that we learn.
