I am placing this here because I feel most at home on the DIS boards here in the scrapping section. If you are the praying type please say some prayers for my MIL. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on Friday. I do not know the details except that it has be found early (praise God). She has an appointment later this week to figure out a game plan to beat this nasty monster. Obviously she is shaken to the core as are her kids. Please pray for healing, peace, and strength.

Thanks! :hippie:

Many prayers being said from our home to yours!
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Is she headed into Indy for her doctors?

Yes, I am not sure which hospital her doctors are affiliated with though. (DH does not know the right questions to ask! :lmao:) Thanks for the support! :thumbsup2

Make the list of questions for him... I know it is hard.. Had to deal w/ this several years ago w/ Granny.. Anyway, I had just moved so I was away and was able to call and give the list of questions that the kids (Granny's kids) didn't think to ask!

Praying for your family and your MIL. I have two close friends that battled cancer. They found it helpful to have someone else go with them to the appointments because all of the information is overwelming.:grouphug: Thank God they caught it early.

We did the same thing, someone goes with the person because the information is so overwhelming. Have the person bring a notebook just for MIL's situation. It is good to have the history has time goes by.

My thoughts and prayers go to your MIL and family. Thank goodness for early detection.

Prayers that treatment will go well and she will be good as new.

Rebecca

also try to find her a support group. We have a teacher and a parent battling now. the teacher is very strong, gives herself 15 minutes a day to melt down then bucks up and is very positive. The parent is very down, self pity, etc.
Teacher dragged the parent to the first support meeting and her whole outlook has changed! She's doing much better already.

Positive thoughts are the key! Prayers being said, keep us posted and let us know if there is anything we can do!

SAVE THE TA-TA's!!!!

I wish I could get her to wear a Save the Ta-Tas shirt! :lmao: Maybe I will just wear one for her! :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone! :grouphug: I appreciate all the prayers and suggestions. I will pass them on to her when she is ready. I think she is still in shock and in that large river in Egypt (denial). I just hope that God uses me as a comfort to her during this time. :goodvibes
