OT: Prayers Needed --Update

Thank you to the wonderful Disers who lent an ear and let me express my concern over my nice. Your offers of prayers gave some comfort.

My niece continues to be in Critical Condition at Boston Children's Hospital. Her lungs have collapsed and she continues to have Congestive Heart Failure. She is unable to breathe without oxygen (they have tried to take her off the oxygen but haven't been able). She cannot stand, walk, or sit and barely whispers (if she speaks at all).

She (and her twin) just turned 6 shortly before she was sent to Boston. She received a heart transplant when she was just over 1 year old. She will either require an operation to repair her heart or if she has Coronary Artery Disease (incurable) she will be placed back on the transplant list for yet another heart.

Please -- If you are able to continue your prayers for her it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all so much for your support. As of today, there has been no change in her status. She remains in Critical Condition. We don't expect her to be released before the summer is over.

Hi Wendy

Does your niece have a carepage set up? My daughter is a frequent 8south and 8east flier. As I'm sure you already know, you are in a wonderful place. Small comfort, I know. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and especially your niece.
