OT: Postage from UK to US

Hello! I hope someone could help me. Can anyone tell me how much in UK postage it would cost for me to send a 9 inch x 12 inch envelope with one or two pieces of paper (not heavy) to the US??

I've been on the Royal Mail site and am confused as to which stamps I should buy.

Basically, my DS and DNieces are interested in writing the Harry Potter cast for autographs, so I'll be sending the requests over to the UK with US stamps, but I wanted to stamp the return address envelopes for the return trip.

Hope that's clear. I would truly appreciate any guidance!

i've just checked their website (its really confusing but i use it all the time for work) and for a letter that size it'll be:

Weight up to:
10g £0.56
20g £0.81
40g £1.22
60g £1.64
80g £2.08
100g £2.52
