Hi All ~ dd will be graduating high school in two years. Where do we start looking for scholarships? Blessings & Thanks, Sandra

Don't forget about bursaries too! I received one from my father's employer and from my own employer/union (I worked part time at a grocery store in high school).

Some colleges and universities also offer bursaries based on financial need too, but you have to already be accepted before you can apply.

Hi,

I am a Graduate Funding Officer so I deal with Graduate Students at our University but I can give you a few ideas. Look on the University website. Most universities publish all their awards (scholarships and bursaries). If the Univeristy still publishes a hard copy calendar they should also be listed in that. Speak to the Undergraduate financial aid office. They are there to assist students in applying for awards. So many awards are never even awarded because nobody applies for them.

check out the career fairs, usually anyone can go to them, tickets tend to be cheap. And check out every gov't website - city, municipal, province. Some are dependent on the field of study. (a local newspaper will award for a student taking journalism, etc)
