OT ~ Please help me plan something for dh's 50th bday in June

Hi All ~ dh will be 50 in June. He said he didn't want anything done, but I think he deserves something very special. I don't want to throw a surprise party....I did that for his 40th bday and also paid off the mortgage as his gift. That's a REALLY hard party and gift to follow.

We will be in Disney in July. I mentioned his June 50th to the CM when I booked our room....she said she notes that and will do something special for the event.

But what to do in June for his actual bday?

Please send suggestions!

When my Mom turned 50, I bought 50 different birthday cards, (I got most of them on clearance) and then I got all my friends (people she didn't even know) to write personal notes and birthday wishes on them. I got everyone to send them by mail on the same day.

She thought it was hilarious when she discovered her mail box stacked full and she had a lot of fun reading the notes. Many of them had fake memories and notes in them that were comical - even some from fake ex-boyfriends. It was just something little, but she still remembers it.

One of the best things that we ever did at disney was the Epcot dive quest tour- we snorkeled in the big aquarium. It was definetly worth the extra $$ ($150 I think) We also made reservationa t Coral Reef restaurant later on that night so we could see where we had just swam. It was the best thing that we have done there and we will probably do it again some year! Friends of ours also did the fishing thing. They loved it- does he fish? For my dad for his 50th- we gave him tickets to Discovery Cove. He's looking forward to the whole adventure. Good luck to you!

I just celebrated 39 yesterday and will be going AWAY next year for my big 4-0 specifically so no one can plan a party..... I'm not big on being surprised!!
