Is Little Einstien offically gone from Playhouse Disney, or is it just on vacation?

Although Special Agent Oso is enjoyable and keeps my little princess' princess: attention, it does not do it the same as Little Einstiens did.

Is Tigger and Pooh going bye bye too? I see they are deligated to the real early time slot (at the moment before the little princess is out of bed.

The Princess hasn't had Playhouse Disney for 6 months and has access to it for at least the summer, so curious minds want to know if this is the summer line-up or just a holding pattern.

I had to go to 'on demand' for my dd's Little Einstein fix. We miss them, too!

My DVR has been recording them on Sunday mornings. I for one can't stand special agent OSO, so I just rerun the same Little Einsteins episodes over and over for DD.

Oh how I miss On-Demand Cable and I also miss that Disney Preschooler channel (at least I think it was Disney). Either way, it was Preschooler appropriate programing 24/7. Oh for the days when I lived in an area with a good Cable Company. I don't even get high Definition around here. I got a nice new TV and the only time I get to enjoy its high tech features is with Blu-ray DVD's.

Well - - Tinkerbell looks really impressive on it :)

OSO needs to go. It is ok for one episode but not in place of LE.

ITA!!! OSO gets on my nerves-- do we really need a SHOW to teach our kids how to wrap a present or take a picture :confused3??!! Last time I checked, good parents were teaching their kids how to do this stuff-- now, introducing them to composers, fine art, and musical concepts, I can get on board with!! BRING BACK LITTLE EINSTEINS!!!! --Katie

ITA too! IMO Oso is an idiot who doesn't listen and doesn't figure things out himself. I felt like my DD2 actually learned something from LE (as I did sometimes too - composers, etc)., but the only thing she has learned from Oso is how to count to 3 and to not leave the water running all the time!!

FYI - LE is usually on the weekends at 7:30 I think.

The line up is usually changed up during the summer because of older kids being home it should come back in the fall although usually when a show is on the way out they put it on early and slowly move it off.

I feel the same way! I miss Litte Einsteins! And while we are on the same topic........we are also missing Jojo's Circus. I am pretty sure that one is off for good but we miss it.

Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! I also think his "pauses" are way too long(when he asks the kids a question and "waits" for the answer). I think Dora's are way too long too.

We get it up here!

Do you get any of the Lilo and Stitch, Little Mermaid, etc?

If so maybe someone with a DVD recorder can swap with me!

I have all the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Episodes. I also have a lot of Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Handy Manny, etc.

OMG....they can't take away LE! It's my sons favorite show. He loves Rocket and knows all the characters names. His fav toy is his Pat Pat Rocket i got on clearance at Target... Yes, they are clearancing out the LE toys too!!! Oh no! He was in his glory at DHS this past may when we saw Quincy and June and the PH Live show. I personally hate OSO! My kids like it, but not like LE. I have to start DVRing the episodes quickly.

I'm glad a lot of parents agree that OSO is, well, odd! I don't get it when he does the wrong thing! Why do they make him do the wrong thing right after they tell him how to do it right? Dumb concept to me!

My DS never really got into LE although he's just now begining to watch more tv. He does like Pooh and Tigger so hopefully that will stick around! He really really loves Blues Clues. Too bad there is no more Blues Clues!

Same here. We miss LE and Jojo quite a lot. I actually really liked Jojo myself. Were there ever any Jojo DVDs?

After watching Oso the last few days, I think the problem is that it isn't geared toward a preschooler. Come on, wrapping presents and dealing with Hexagons (counting sides to make sure it is the correct shape). The show appears to be more geared toward immature 6 and 7 year olds. When the rest of Playhouse Disney is geared more toward the Preschoolers, it makes Special Agent Oso stand out as odd and out of place.

My DD5 likes the OSO theme song, but it is by far too babyish for her! My DS1 likes it though. Cute concept... Needs some tweaking. I still don't like it! He doesn't even look like a stuft bear! The design team must have been on vacation when they picked his colors (puke green and yellow!). Oh well, bring back LE where mrs can actually learn more than how to brush their teeth! Last I heard that was MY job:)

I am so miffed at the "summer schedule" on Playhouse Disney & Nick Jr! I understand WHY they do it, but I don't think they should! I mean, the toddlers are in a routine to see their shows, so what if the big kids are out of school! I get ticked when the networks do it at Christmas, Easter, and other "typical" days off of school. I only have 1 child, he is almost 3 1/2, but I remember having to wait when I was a kid & out of school for my programming. These other kids need to, too! We don't have a DVR. Fortunately we do have Noggin & the East/West coast stations so we can catch the replay for what played on Playhouse Disney at 6am here on the East coast at 9am when it's replaying for West coast time zone.

I've vented about this to my husband recently about this. What annoys me is the reasoning the networks use, "It's Summer! Kids are up early, so we're putting your shows on earlier!" Um, my son isn't getting up any earlier just because it's summer! He misses Leo, Quincy, Annie, June & Rocket! ;)

Fortunately my son has gotten into Phineus & Ferb, so that is there & available for him with the "big kid programming." :thumbsup2

I agree with everyone! We love Little Einsteins, and I am upset that they are only on Saturdays and Sundays now. But, we have the DVR and a few fav. episodes on that, and about four DVDs that my brother go the girls for Xmas.

Hopefully they are back in daily rotation in the fall!!
