OT - Part 4 who said we are posting for the record

We had a Christmas card exchange last year. Does anyone know if we're having it again this year? It was good fun receiving loads of cards and of course sending them as well

It is always Elaine (Ware Bears) that organises it and I am sure there will be one this year

I think we should have a DLRP DIS advent calendar thread...

post a DLRP thing (fact, image etc) everyday in December until Christmas. We could either take turns, or a couple of people could run it.

Sounds fun, we will have to check with Batman or one of his side kicks first

Problem with that is that is would be too obvious someone has opened it, whereas if only one was missing you could pretend it was a manufacturing fault

Bit obvious anyhow, it's covered in celophane!

I hope so, like you I really enjoyed it last year. Have allocated extra Christmas cards this year in anticipation, only another 30 to make.

As my idea appears to be a popular one - can I suggest we leave it until tomorrow or so to see if anybody else is interested in running it as well, then submit the idea to the moderators for their approval?

The more people running it, the easier to run and the more diverse the images and facts are likely to be, because we'll be looking for less images / facts per person. Even with the 3 / 4 of us, that's only 8 / 6 each to find, which is much more manageable than 24 if it's run by just one person...

Also, should we do it like a cadbury calendar where you get a chocolate and a picture, so we could do like a fun fact, and a picture

Besides, there was a thread going round much earlier than this about Christmas, so we've been good until now.

As for the TV adverts - at least we're talking about Christmas 2008... It won't be long and the hamper companies will be advertising their Christmas 2009 hampers
