Lol, I hope not, to be honest I am pretty much always as astonished at the behavior of the parents towards their kids so I'm hoping I'll be a bit better at it than them.....

I'm so lucky Kyra is well behaved that tantrums are few and far between and i've learnt not to give in and not to negotiate.

Also the key thing is to follow through as me and Katrina was talking about earlier in the week.

Hello Torsie! Did you enjoy your yotel room by the way?

No we swap around, I have taught every year from 3 to 6. I taught year 6 or 5/6 mix for the past 4 years but now am in year 4. I'm enjoying the younger ones again, year 4 is my favourite year to teach. Although I enjoy being with the 10/11 year old kids it gets really boring preparing them for their exams all year and doing revision for most of the year. I'm glad I have a change this year.

Where do you think would be the best place to buy a new christmas tree. I want a 7ft pre lit one (my current big tree is 10 years old and is too small for all my Disney orniments so I need to upgrade!)

My advice... stay well away from pre lit trees. I've had 2 in three years and both broke. The first one my Mum got me from a garden centre that had both coloured and white bulbs. It really was beautiful and cost my dear Mum a fortune. Within 3 days all the coloured lights went out and i went through every bulb to see if one had blown to no avail.
The following year i got one from B&Q, the first year fine it was great. Second year after two days two rows of lights went out and after spending best part of the day to find the fault i finally lost the plot and kicked it all round the living room.:sad2: Shameful i know. And the result of my antics... yep, that was the end of that no more tree!!:sad1:

Humm, good points Brigette, maybe just a regular 7ft would be better, and then just buy some more lights on their own.

Emma, being a teacher isn't as much fun as you might think. Although I love the teaching part and I love my class the planning, prep, paperwork, the constant having to proove what level each childs is at, what you are doing for each individual childrens learning, what you will do if a child slips behind, setting each child individual targets, constant marking 90 books a day, doing assessments! The list goes on! In saying that we do have a lot of fun in my class. Next week we are making log houses. 23 kids with saws in their hands!!

Hello Torsie! Did you enjoy your yotel room by the way?
Heya!!

Yeah, yotel was fun. Single bed for the two of us was a bit snug, but like being back at uni.

Shower was lush though!! I'd definitely do it again before an early flight. Shame st pancras hasn't got one!

Are you back from Barnsley Bob? Feeling any better?

Yeah, got back today. I was feeling much better this morning, but because of trains been delayed and lying rail staff, I've been stuck in open, freezing train stations for most of the day and I feel much worse than when I woke up! :sad1:

Oh no!! I've had that before - staff at Doncaster are esp rude and I always seemed to get stuck there when I was coming home from uni :headache:
