I just seem to have more and more days like that recently. Thank goodness for Dis - it keeps me sane and really helps me wind down and forget work

It's been like that since the beginning of term for me as well, being on here (and my other place) is great. I'm trying to please 38 different parents at the moment with offering our older children 5 sessions over two and a half days (we are a pre-school not a nursery) and so far this week I've spent 7 hours sorting it out, it's driving me mad and having to sit for three hours last night at the committee meeting didn't help one bit!

I had one customer moan about her gift card she bought not being activated today on the phone, so I apologised & said if she came back I would do it & give her £5 gift card as goodwill for her petrol. She reckons it would cost more then that from where she was travelling from, amazingly when I asked where she was coming from she went quiet:rolleyes:

Worse still the card had been activated its just takes a while to show up. Yes i'm still waiting for my apology after she blamed it all on me!

Ive just booked next Friday off - its the last day of our flexi period and Im sick of losing time every month coz we can only carry so much over so Ive booked a day off and intend taking it and doing nothing

Doing nothing sounds like a great plan :thumbsup2

We have a piano in our house (it's mine but DH plays far better than I do!). We have several keyboards too, our keyboards though are full size. If you want to practice realistically you will need a keyboard with full size touch sensitive keys. Ours main one is a fatar one. It doesn't have to be full length span of a piano, but you will need full size keys.

Just thought I'd add that I play my keyboard quite a lot (with touch sensitive keys as described above), but I still find it quite hard to transfer across to a piano due to the fact that piano keys are weighted, where as a keyboard's are not...

Sounds bliss:goodvibes

Where I work I think a lot of people are going to lose holidays because we can't book any before Xmas & that means only 3 months to fit 700+ peoples holiday in. I can't see that happening.

Rob, not all keyboards have non weighted keys. Our keys are all weighted on our keyboards. DH plays them quite a bit when he plays for shows in theatres, plus he teaches piano as well.

I want to go back to WDW for Christmas one year. That was amazing.

I'm at home for part of the day on Friday, have to go in for a meeting at 12ish, but I may be part of the daytime crowd for an hour (or two!)

I just want to be at dlp and completley relax. Take everything. Do it different.
