Good about the currency and phone turning up, hope its fixed for you.

I'm really considering the iPhone. Looks awesome and I spent a whole hour playing with it in the O2 shop at Hempstead Valley. Might have to leave it until after DLRP though and see if I have any spending money left

When we used it in 2004 it was brilliant. Loads of spaces everywhere when we got on in Ashford. Might depend on the time of year as we went in September and the train was only half full at the very most

That's good to hear, mind you it was the Christmas season so that could have been why. The fact that we had 4 cases as well probably didn't help.

Well my phone is still broke...and im on hold. 3rd time its come back still broken so they need to send me a new phone now.. Costing me a fortune on hold.

Great news, i have always been a bit wary of ordering currency online. I'm worried that it won't turn up.

Glad I'm not the only one - I just don't trust the postal service with money. It only takes one problem and you could lose a lot of sleep trying to claim it back - although you would get it back eventually.

Possibly not, think we took two holdalls with us for the trip and one of them was full of food and drink for the journey and for the hotel. Remember being very very grateful that we had the luggage service as some moron (me) had decided that outting 24 cans of coke in one bag was a good idea :lmao:

Hmmm, my thoughts exactly. I can't be doing with losing anymore sleep right now. I have enough to contend with without having the worry of whether my money wil come.

Well I always order money online etc, It always comes by special delievery. Luckily i have trust in the postal service.

Its samsung customer service that i have no trust in.

I'd recommend it personally (I've had the iPod touch since it came out and the iPhone since the 3g one came out) - I love it.

There are some short comings which would be deal breakers for some people (no picture messaging, no copy and paste, plus a good number of other things which are common on a lot of phones), but these don't bother me too much. so long as you're aware of what they are, then I don't think you'd be disappointed :goodvibes

The lady was rude, i asked to speak to a manager as otherwise i have to wait 5 days for a solution, well i want a *&%$&( now!

Personally I'd ratherr stick with a basic and affordable phone. As long as I can recieve calls and texts I'm not bothered what make it is.

Really! O2 didn't say that you couldn't have picture messaging. Hmmm I guess in this time of Bluetooth that picture messaging maybe isn't that relevant.

How quick is the internet on it if you don't mind me asking? Are you able to use this site for example? On my LG Viewty it takes about 5 mins for the site to load up and it's basically unable to be used on the phone!

That's all I used to need. Having the internet on my phone, plus maps etc actually proves very useful to me though.

When I used to have a separate phone and mp3 player, I would forget the phone, but take the mp3 player every time I went out somewhere. So, combining the two into one device was a natural choice for me. I like the interface of the iPod touch an awful lot, so the iPhone was a natural step up - once the price came down.

I thought about it on pay as you go, but it just didn't seem to be worth it for me, so I opted for the contract.

I don't care about the brand though - if the iPhone was from an unknown brand, I'd still buy it. In fact, I'd probably buy it faster because it wouldn't come with the apple premium price tag

Let's find out shall we :)

I'll make another post from my iPhone, then we can see how long it takes to log in etc... I'm not using 3g at the moment, because my signal is a bit on and off where I am, so old gprs is more reliable. I can try 3g later though if you like :thumbsup2

Either would be perfect, if it's usable then I can come on here in the evening on my iPhone. My main problem is that Kacee keeps knocking the lap top's over. Had two new ones already and I think my insurance company are getting a bit

ok, I shall abandon that test because my data connection is playing up so the site isn't loading.

I can usually DIS from it though. It's a little fiddly in places, but it's doable and I have been known to post from my iPhone occasionally when I'm traveling.

Edit: Just read your above post. I wouldn't recommend the iPhone for major DISing. It's possible, but it's definitely not suitable for heavy use. It's much more suitable for the occasional post when you've really got no other way of posting, such as while you're traveling.

Thanks for trying. Just one more question (probably until I think of others)

Have you used it on wi-fi? I'm guessing it's free to use if I log on to my home wi-fi and surf using the iPhone?

3g is ok again, so this is from my iPhone. It works very well from wifi and is free from your own, plus the cloud and another wifi brand around the uk are both free, so you get those as well
