OT ~ One Wish

A young boy by the name of Shane Bernier is fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is from Lancaster, Ontario Canada. Last year he recieved some unfornate news, he had relasped after completing 108 weeks of 130 weeks of treatment.
Shane and his family have stayed postive dispute they bad news, his birthday is May 30th, and instead of asking for money and gifts for his birthday, he has one wish. He wants to break the world record for reciving the most birthday cards. To date he has recieved 125,000 plus cards, with 12 days to go.

Please help make this little boys dream come true and send him a birthday card.

Wow, the power of the Internet and big hearts is amazing! I heard about Shane's Wish through the Charity Committee where I work. We have over 500 people who were asked to send cards to Shane and I think most will. It is wonderful to see how far reaching this can be.

Yes, I remember them mentioning this at work. I'm sending one and I'm also having my kids make a card for him too.

I really hope he gets his wish of breaking the world record of getting the most birthday cards. I really hope and pray that he gets better.

Hey Nelly, how are you? It is so weird to catch up here, when we work one floor apart!!

This is a great cause though, eh? My DD is doing one and so are my DH and I. That poor boy. If this him feel better than it is all worth it.

OT, these boards to me are like liquor to an alcoholic. I swear I need a daily or twice daily fix just to get by. I am a DIS board junkie!!!

Actually, my kids both made him cards at school a few weeks ago! The whole school did! They both came home telling me about a boy named Shane and how they all made him cards. Amazing!
Our thoughts are with him and his family, thanks for posting the address.

The least I can do to help make his dream come true.
I just picked up his card today, I'm going to put it in the mail on sunday, and it will be picked up Monday morning.

My DS school made cards for the little guy. I got work involved and they too sent cards. I hope he gets his wish!
