As well as the Twilight Series, I would recommend the House of Night series, there are 4 out at the minute with the 5th to be released in October.

Look up House of Night series by PC Cast.

Morning all :)

Just spent nearly an hour on the phone to Barclays. :headache:
Logged into my account this morning to see two £15 transactions for 02 (UK) LTD PREPAY.
I don't even have an 02 phone. They have cancelled my card and are sending me some forms to fill in so they can investigate. They said i should get my money back :scared1:

Just googled 02 (UK) LTD PREPAY and it seems there are hundreds of people who this is happening to.
How on earth they have got my card details i will never know, i am always so careful.

omg that is awful. is it some sort of scam or is it actually o2

This happened to my bf a few months back- they just go getting different amounts from different ppl apprently. The bank were really good in sorting it all out tho.

It seems it is a scam, someone has used my card details to top up their phone, although how they got my card details i will never know.

You would have thought Barclays would have flagged it up as it is 2 transactions for the same amount on the same day, especially when you read through some of the forums about it. Surely Barclays are aware that it is a huge problem.:confused3

First day off in ages today. Started off with good intentions of catching up on housework, until I discovered that the PC I brought home from work for youngest DS runs Google Earth in 3D none of the PC's we've got at home have managed it before. You can guess what I've been doing so far today :rolleyes1

The amount of accounts Barclays have it makes it hard for them to keep track off all the transactions.

Have you used your card to buy petrol in the likes of Shell, Esso etc? When my sisters card my cloned it was because she brought fuel from them & the CC company said petrols stations are well known for cloaning cards.

Failing that, it could be from online if you have purchased anything?

I don't drive so it isn't petrol. I do use it online quite a bit though.

I brought something off ebay the other day and paid via paypal and reading through other peoples experiences on this scam paypal crops up quite a bit.

It could be anything though really. I am soooo glad i picked it up when i did, i check my account everyday but if i had of been on holiday or something they could have cleaned me out.

I would say definitely the Twilight books. My friends daughter is 14 in December and she loves them.

That age seem too old for Hannah and High School Musical. That seems to miss a generation. Young ones and oldies like me love that.

I love the Twilight books and I'll be 29 on Friday!

However, whilst not ready to be in love at the age of 13 or 14, girls of that age are certainly in love with the 'idea' of being in love and the books really cater to that. It's purely a romantic love story, nothing any more serious than that.

OMG I use Paypal whenever it's available, I've always thought of it as being safer than entering your cc details.

We had our CC cloned last year, CC company flagged it up when they got upto the £12000 limit on the card in 48 hours.
The card had been used 4 times only. At DLP in the Frontierland store and my local Tesco, Pet Shop and Sports shop, the last 3 only because I'd left my debit card by the PC one day after an online shop, so had done the 3 shops the same day.
The card is a Northern Rock one and I have to say they were superb about it, aside from us checking the transactions and saying nope not us, we didn't have to do a thing and had new cards issued within a few days. :thumbsup2

So did I, I have always used paypal whenever i could.

To be honest though it could have been anything, tesco, asda i use my debit card all the time.
Some of the people who it has happened to don't even have paypal accounts.

It's more annoying than anything having to wait for a new card. Just hope i get it back as the man i spoke to said they will investigate and then i should get it back.

Sorry, this is completely off topic, but I'm looking for some advice.

With Christmas not too far off now (:scared1:) I'm starting to give some thought to Christmas shopping and little bits of "stocking fillers".

I'm completely out of touch with the type of books that teenage girls might like to read :confused3, so would appreciate it if anybody can point me in the right direction? Looking for a couple of books for Sarah, who's nearly 14. :)

Aside from books, if anybody has any other "fantastic" suggestions then they'd also be very much appreciated - I've already got quite a few idea's, but inspiration is always welcome! :worship:

Thanks!
Just popping this over to chat as it is not DLP related :thumbsup2

My DD is 13 and loves to read. I would recommend Louise Rennison books. She wrote 'Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging' and a whole series of books aimed at girly teenagers. They are very funny.

Sometimes you can pick up great sets on the Book People online. This is my favourite place for Christmas Shopping:goodvibes

DD watched this on TV. Proved to me that I am an old fuddy duddy as I was a bit shocked by it :scared1:

I can hear Diane already saying to Morgan ... "we will not tell your dad about this...."
