Just wanted to come on here and say how PROUD I am of my hubby, he is away every weekend from us til xmas as he is playing the part of Santa in a posh castle!!! He left this morning absolutely bricking it in want of a better word!!!!....suit from America, props hired from London etc!!!....this could lead to big things...dlp next??????....this castle charges £7,500 for a 3 night stay at xmas!!! (you hire the whole thing for that)

hope he's doing ok!!!....he can only get a signal on his phone from the field the car is parked in!!! They aren't allowed out just incase someone spots him!!haha.....heaps of elves too...I want to go see him!!! The kids get to have a tour of the castle and Mrs Cluas teaches then how to make gingerbread men etc...and the kids have to find hidden doorways etc..will be fab then they are brought intot he drawing room where santa will be waiting in a velvet chair next to a real log fire....a room has train sets for the kids to play with/look at too....then they get a pressie from a massive sleigh!...then before they go home there is a hog roast in the courtyard!!!!

wish I could drive...he was even told we wouldn't have to pay!!!

nah it won't matter going..the kids know its him so it might spoil it for other kids when Joshua runs in shouting 'thats my daddy'!!!! Someone on my bebo just left in her saying ...off to santaland.....so I left her a comment asking what she thought of santa and if she has any pics!!!lol

Its also really kind of your DH to stand in for Santa to help him out - Im assuming its because he is so busy himself at this time of year

Yes this happens a lot. I actually had to change the date of our school Christmas Fair from 6th to the 12th December because Santa was too busy the first week.

It was fantastic! Yep Mickey, Minnie and Goofy are all in it and so is Tinkerbell. I would definately go again!!

We took our boys to see Santa/your hubby! yesterday. It was fantastic...they absolutely loved it and haven't stopped going on about it since, in fact they want to go back!

I'd give your hubby 10 out of 10 as a Santa. The room he is sitting in with the fire burning is stunning. It is like a life-size Victorian Christmas card. We enjoyed it as much as the boys - and when we got home we were joking that they should do an adult version....to have an afternoon in front of the fire with Santa and a bottle of sherry! Don't worry I'm not the yummy mummy type trying to sit on his knee!!!

I'm amazed someone else said it was terrible, maybe her kids were older. My boys are 3 and just the perfect age for it. All of the elves, Mrs Claus etc were really friendly though your hubby stole the show!

It's such a shame you can't see him in his glory..even without the kids just to see it all. I did take some photos but my camera was playing up and they are all a bit dark...in fact I mentioned to Santa that I was hoping for a new camera for my Christmas as mine is on its last legs.

So ho ho ho to your hubby and his gang - they certainly made two 3 year olds and 2 "not so 3 year olds" very happy!
