OT: old kids racetrack

Hi all !!
Writing from America, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a question about a race track.
I have a friend that says when she was young (she is 40ish now) she had a race track that she just loved. It is long since gone and I wanted to see if any were available on ebay. I am pretty sure the name of the company started with an "S". Caterra is the big name around here, but that was not what she said. She also said something about a slot in the track...
any help is greatly appreciated !!

you can still buy them, they're everywhere! toys r us are probably the biggest stockist of them over here.

Lots of UK stores online sell Scalextric sets (also featured on James May's Toy Story for the BBC). prices vary depending on the size of the sets and which vehicles are included but great fun all the same. James and crew set a new record for the longest race with scalextric this year so it's really just up to your imagination how big or small you want them.
