OT Ok need help with gmail acct

Ok I know this is off topic but I have a gmail acct with 2000 emails, does anyone know how to delete them all without clicking on 2000 little boxes to delete? Thank you

There is a box on top, above where you could check mark the individual email, check that. Four boxes over is a trash can. You should be able to delete all (50 at a time) that way.

Above check box is Archive ..clicked on that nothing, clicked four boxes over Mark as read, Mark as unread , clicked trash.....nothing still in inbox it did nothingbut thank you

You need to click the top check box on the far left. That will make the check boxes fir the first 50 emails checked Then you check the trash can icon on the top and it will delete them

I have been having problems with the check box in Gmail, it works fine when I am at home on the most current version of Internet Explorer, but when I am at work, I'm on an older version of IE that is no longer support by Gmail and some days that little box shows up and works properly and some days it doesn't.

Our gmail accounts say the same thing....older version of IE. I have been using my son's chrome to check emails. I don't want to update IE.

I wonder if yours is not updated. This is what mine looks like. I am attaching a pic of how to do it, if yours is set up like that. I think if it's old style, there should still be a check box for all on that page, but look a the very bottom of the page to delete all.

Ok first no I do not have this screen, must be older, don't use much, explains 2000 emails that I want to delete...I also use browser Mozilla Foxfire? does that make difference? how do I update gmail? I use the gmail for junk mail and now might be getting rid of my earthlink dial up, yes I said dial up, thats all I can get.. and that is my main email that I use, very secure...yahoo email was just hacked into a few months back too soooo was thinking of starting to use the gmail acct... anyone like a free one better than gmail? but back to the problem of deleting 2000 email no delete all box basicly no boxes except for one on each email... Thanks

Okey update, I updated the screen and see what you are telling me...50 is much better than 1 at a time... thank you so much...I knew someone would help
