Chip and Dales Campfire at the Fort Wilderness Campground

Riding with the monorail driver

The Electric Water Pageant....(runs behind the WL correct?)

So what am I forgetting??

Also, I have never stayed at WL so heres a couple ?s they had I cant answer.

Does a boat run to DDisney/Marketplace?

Does a boat go to the MK?

Food Court?

Thanks ahead of time everyone!!! Sorry I waited til the last minute.

I don't think there's a boat that runs to the DD area, however, there is a boat that goes to the Magic Kingdom.

And, if I'm not mistaken, there is no food court at the WL, but there is a fast service restaurant. I can't remember the name, I'm sure someone here will know it!

There's no food court, specifically, but there are 2 restaurants. One is in the main lobby of the hotel, the other is a kind of cafeteria style. There's the big ferry that runs to MK, there's a small boat that runs a "circle" around the lake. It stops at the campground (you can go to the stables), WL, and Contemporary.

Beyond that, transport is buses.

Hope that helps. :)

Do they still have the Hidden Mickey tour at the WL? I don't know what has been the victim of cutbacks and what hasn't, but they used to give tours of the WL pointing out the various HM's.

No tours that I know of, but you can ask for a list of the Hidden Mickey's at the front desk. FYI - the restaurant in the lobby is called Whispering Canyon..

Have them ask at check in about the flag raising cerm. They have a familey raise the flag each morn at the top of the resort I is so awesome and the view is not to bad either take a camara for lots of pictures. plus you get a neat certifacate.

There is a food court level restaurant downstairs from Artist point (Expensive restaurant) called Rouring Forks, where they serve the same food you find in the food courts elsewhere. However the Breakfast Pizza can only be purchased there or the Animal Kingdom lodge and it is EXCELLENT!!

The lodge has the BEST family fun restaurant on property which is Wispering Canyon. The staff is hilarious and the BBQ is quite good.

There is a bus that runs to Downtown Disney. Let me know if you have more questions. I am a DVC owner of WL so I have been there a few times :)

As for free / low cost items, have them check if they are still doing the behind the scenes tour of the lodge (only run it every so often), but you get to sample all the restaraunts. Of course the pool at WL is excellent. If they are staying as DVC members the Health Club is free and Excellent (charge if not member is steep!). There is also a length of stay watercraft rental plan that is something like 140 for the stay for the party. Another cheap activity is to rent bikes and ride over to the campground ground for the free petting zoo. We usually eat at trails end buffeteria which is about the cheapest buffet meal on property (was 9.99 for lunch and 12 or 14 for dinner... I think it went up, or they now charge for drinks or something).

FYI / HTH

Well they are on their way with all your ideas and tips in hand. I really appreciate everyones input.

They were so excited. It was the kids first trip to WDW, how fun!
I sent along pins (dah:p ) and some Mickey playing cards.

If your there this week and see an Ohio family in a Red Durango, say hi to them!!!
