OT: North Indy hotel recommendations

OP: I was driving in Noblesville, Indiana yesterday and noticed several small, basic hotels along S.R. 37 (Quality Inn was one of them). Noblesville is just 10 minutes north of the I-69/S.R. 37/96th Street exit and extremely safe, so it might be a cheaper option. Traffic is really bad along S.R. 37, though, during rush hour.

I am on the southside of Indy (in Greenwood). You might want to look into the southside. I just looked on Expedia for this weekend, and rates are way cheaper down here. I'm not sure how fancy you are wanting, but there is a Red Roof Inn in Greenwood (extremely safe, and very convenient to downtown with way less traffic than the northside) for $54 a night. Compared to sleeping in a van it's a step up!

Laquinta 5316 West Southern ave 1-317 247-4281 very close to what you are looking for.

If he's coming in from Michigan, that probably means he'll be rooting for Michigan State....given that, perhaps we should find him a spot in the not so nice parts of town to stay in!!!! ;)
HEY NOW Let's be nice I spend enough money in your state LOL.

Hey! I am a transplanted Michigan person so I will help!!!

Ok, we live in North Indy. I am guessing that you are thinking off of 69 ...depending on what part of Michigan you are coming from. I do I69 but I am from Southeast Michigan.

Staybridge Suites is right off 69 in Fishers (right off of 96th street) and is really nice. We stayed there for about 6 weeks while our home was being repaired from Smoke Damage. Really nice. Breakfast is included and has hot and cold items. Dinner is included but only during the week (Tues, Wed and Thurs).

the Drury Inn is also off of 69 (82nd street and Shadeland). I have not stayed at that one but am currently staying in one in St. Louis for Spring Break and love it! Again, breakfast is included and they also provide dinner/ appetizers (depending on how much one eats) as well as alcoholic beverages for the adults (3 per day I believe). Free internet service, free local and long distance calls. The Drury and Staybridge both have lots of options for food nearby. Cheeseburger in Paradise is right next door to Staybridge and then there are tons of fast food and sit down restaurants around the corner. The Drury is also right by a bunch of restaurants both fast food and sit down. Right by Staybridge there is also a Residence Inn and a Springhill Suites. The springhill suites include breakfast and Residence Inn may...I don't remember. Anyhoo...I always love a place that includes a meal or two!

Good luck!

LOL....if that's the case he can pay us $10 and park in our driveway to sleep. We are in a safe neighborhood about 15 minutes from downtown. :rotfl2:

We'll only charge $5. We have a cul-de-sac with no other houses in it. He can listen to the fountain running as white noise :)

Being from Anderson, I just had to laugh at someone calling Anderson safe. It's not Gary or anything, but I would hardly call it safe (even the area you stayed at!) when compared to places closer to Indy like Fishers, Carmel, Nobletucky, Wesfield or Zionsville.

nah, it's just our test scores and graduation rates that compare to Gary. :rolleyes1 I would say the exit hotels are as safe here as North Indy.

:) --- Proud graduate of the ORIGINAL AHS, here!!

OT, but I find it hard to see how they are going to function with only 1 HS, stuck in the middle of a corn field and a LONG drive for so many of the students.
