Okay, I’m a little frustrated with my DS who is 3. He has been potty trained for 7 months now but he still wears pull ups during nap time and bedtime. He use to not wear them during nap time until 3 weeks ago when he started have accident everyday so finally I brought pull ups to daycare. I have rewarded him with Disney dollars, candy, and stickers. He does have an occasional accident here and there but it’s not every day. I don’t know what to do any more…my DD was SOOO easy and I know boys are a little slower but mommy isn’t. I should be a little more patient but it’s so frustrating. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

if its only an occasional accident im not seeing the huge deal. my 3 yo ds has very rare accidents and usually when hes so excited and busy he forgets to go.

my issue is he was night trained for months, then baby sis came home and we are back to using pullups at night as he pees most of the time. he also stopped napping around the same time so i think hes more tired at night.
im waiting until after our disney trip next month to really work on the night wetting a bit more.

Durning nap time and bed time he peepee in his pull up everytime...even if he doesn't drink that much at lunch or dinner time and he does go to the bathroom before he goes to bed. He just may have occiansial accident durning the day.

Well, night time training can take much longer to master then staying dry during the day. And I definitely can't give advice - my son just turned 7 and still wears pull ups at night. My oldest trained at night no problem, my middle child had to wear pull ups at night until he was about 8. My neighbors daughter was 10. Your son is 3, be patient and give him time, definitely not time to worry yet!

I too think 3 is young to be night trained. None of my kids went through the night dry till at least 5. Some of it is hereditary too. So if a fmaily member was a bewetter, it is commong for kids to be. And it is actually worse on them to try to force them to be dry or tell them it is wrong. It dleays the process even more. I could care less if my child can't go without a pull up. My DD 3 has to wear it for nap and sleep too. If she wakes up dry, we reuse it. But most times she doesn't. When my older DD had a b-day party once. ( Ithink she was 6 or 7, one girl came and her mom let me know that she would be putting on a pull up for bed, jsut so I knew. The other girls didn't though. It just takes some kids longer.
Also a change can make them revert (like a new baby).
My ex husband wet the bed in highschool even. His parnets bought some bed with a rubber coated matress. (poor guy) and he even wet the bed once while we were married. (ICK)
