Does anyone have any recommendations for good diapers to use at night? DS is 14 months. He wears Pampers Swaddlers during the day and they're fine, but he's been soaking through them at night. I make sure he gets a new diaper right before he goes to bed, but it doesn't help.

Thanks!

I also use Pampers and as soon as she started to roll over on her belly during the night she would wake up soaked. Myself and all my mom friends use Huggies Overnights. They are in a purple package. I don't like regular Huggies at all.....but the nighttime ones can't be beat.

I just have to chime in on the Huggies overnites - My daughter also wears pampers during the day and was soaking them at night - Huggies overnites are fantastic!!

Whenever my DS started leaking through the night, I knew it was time to move him up to the bigger size.

Thanks for the quick replies! :)

I've looked for the Huggies Overnites in a couple of stores, but haven't been able to find them yet. I'll have to make more of an effort since they seem to work for lots of people.

In the meantime, maybe I'll try the next size up in regular diapers. For Pampers users, which do you use, Baby Dry or Cruisers? We've been using Swaddlers, but I guess at 14 mos, he's no longer a "new baby" anymore.

We went from Swaddlers to Cruisers.

My DS always leaked though the Baby Dry.

As the mother of a child who has special needs, I have become a diapering expert:goodvibes My boy is 12yo so when he "goes", it's a LOT. There isn't a diaper made that can hold it all, so we started using incontinence pads inside the diaper to boost the absorbency. Voila! No more wet bed. Sometimes his PJs are a little damp at the waist, but at least I'm not doing a full-bed-change-with-shower-on-the-side anymore.

I see you list Boston on your id. I also live in Mass. I am only able to find them at Shaws and Target.

Funny you mention about moving out of Swaddlers. When I first read your post my first reaction was WOW - 14 months and still in Swaddlers - he must be a tiny peanut!!! Anyway - I use Cruisers.

Thanks for the info! I've tried my local Shaws and had no luck. I'll try Target next.

He is a little peanut. We're hoping he hits 19 pounds by his 15 month check-up in a couple of weeks! People always think he's about 9 mos because he's small, so they're very surprised when they see his mouthful of teeth or hear him say a word or two.

Only Huggies Overnights would work for my DS. Actually cloth worked like a charm and then we switched to disposables at 13 months and the leaks started. We had to use Huggies Overnights AND buy them in a bigger size. He was wearing 5s at night when he was wearing 3s during the day. We could only ever find them at Target.

My DS is 15 months and had the same exact issue, which we successfully resolved over the past month.

DS wears Pampers size 3 Cruisers during the day. At night he now wears
Huggies size 3 overnights with a Diaper Doubler pad inside. The combination of the two have been a huge lifesaver.

I first read about the Diaper Doublers on the DIS. We are from R.I. and I buy the Diaper Doublers $2.99 for 30 at Stop & Shop and the Huggies Overnights at Shaws. My Target does not carry the size 3.

Back in the olden days- (my kids are 12 and 6:rotfl2: )- we didn't have overnights so we did one of three things- the next size up- the next size up plus the daytime one (yup two diapers at once) or put rubber pants over top- also- you could add the diaper liners that go in cloth diapers to your disposables-

Good Luck, Jen

Another vote for Huggies Overnights :thumbsup2

Both of my girls started wearing them at night I'd say at around 6-8 months. I remember that they don't make them in small sizes. I think they start at size 3, although that might have changed by now. We are still using them for your youngest and they work great!!!

I used to be able to find them anywhere but now I can only find them at Target, they often run sales on them which is nice.

Another vote for Huggies Overnights! When DD5 was about 18 months old, she slept 16 hours one night and her Huggies Overnight didn't leak (although it weighed about ten pounds!). :thumbsup2

Thanks for the help everyone!

I finally found a store that carries Huggies Overnites...but they didn't have any size 3's in stock. :sad2:

I did buy a package of reg diapers in the next size and have been using them on him at night. So far, so good - no leaks. :thumbsup2

We have a very heavy wetter here. We tried everything including the Huggies Overnights to no avail. I even called both Pampers and Huggies. Pamper said straight out that they have no product that would work. I was amazed that they flat out told me not to buy Pampers. Huggies said to try the Goodnights product. It is intended for older kids, but they make a small and medium size too. They even gave me a coupon to try them for free. They are a blessing. They work very well. We still have wet through on occassion, but not very often. They are well worth their weight in gold and some times they weigh a lot ;)

How old is your little one who wears the Goodnites? I just looked at them online, but they start at 38 lbs, or something like that.
