My 2nd grader's teacher asked me for ideas for their classroom fall festival booth. I am trying to think of something new to do. Face painting, beanbag tosses, cake walks, pumpkin bowling, golf, football toss and petting zoo etc. have been done to death, sometimes there is even duplicate booths because classrooms will have the same idea. In the past it does not cost anything to play the games at the classroom booths so not looking for anything to really raise money just something different. Thanks for any ideas!

Since it's fall you could do something with apples or pumpkins. A festival here has apple fishing, it is always big. Fill a pool with floating apples and have the kids fish one out with a net (like a pool cleaner net.) Have popcicle sticks with numbers on them. They get to keep the apple and get a prize from the basket that matches the number on their popcicle stick. If you really wanted to you could have caramel for them to dip the apples into, making them caramel apples. (They don't do that here but I always though that would be a fun idea.)

How about decorating cookies/cupcakes?

This is a GREAT idea. My DS is similar in age and absolutely loves messing in my food decorating things. When he was in pre-school, I helped his teacher do something similar for their Valentine's Day party...we gave them a mini-cupcake one day and a cookie the second day and a spoonful of frosting, sprinkles, mini m & m's and they had a blast with it during their snack time.
