Ot: Need Help.. Who Works At A Spa

Hi girls

I am in a bit of a bind right now... I am designing a spa for my thesis. I graduate in June with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Interior Design. My spa is 20,000sq ft. Its huge. The name of my fake spa is called Tea Tree Spa its a Japanese Inspired Day Spa. So I am hoping that maybe someone here works or knows someone that works in a spa. I am hoping to get dimensions such as how big facial rooms are jacuzzi rooms, locker rooms and so forth. I have gone to some spas but they wont let me measure being that it will take up there time to watch me while they can give someone the services they paid for... Totally understand. hey i'm doing Interior Design too!! ok my suggestion would be to start looking online for information. start with how big the objects in the rooms are, then have add on all of the required work space (ya know the walk-ways..that sort of stuff), then from that pick the size of the room. i've always been told, that if you have the option, build the stuff inside the room first, then put the walls up.

also another suggestion might be that with some of the websites you may be able to send emails to some of the places and explain what is going on. I've done that a few times and i have gotten excellent feedback.

Hi..I am also a thesis semester Interior design student in NY..we actually did a spa in our third year as a part of an ASID competion. It was a medical sp so the guidelines were very strict and completly ada, there was a residence attached as well. Let me see what I can find.

When I can get to my other computer I will look for my cad drawings and my sq footages- they based off of the criteria ASID set so they are pretty accurate. Give me a day.
