OT - Naples, Florida - Things to do on Business

OT since not in the Orlando area feel free to move if better somewhere else...

I will be in Naples, FL for 3 days for a conference. Unfortunately the family can't join me so I am on my own. I have the afternoons and evenings fairly free.

Any suggestions for dining, especially authentic local spots, waterfront dining, etc.?

Other activities? Beach time? Fishing excursion? Any suggestions are welcome. I am staying at the Ritz carlton if that makes any difference.

Fifth Ave has lots of cool shops and restaurants. Bistro 821 is wonderful. My parents have a vacation home in Naples so we go at least once a year.
The Turtle Club is good for waterfront dining it's on Vanderbilt beach.
The Ritz offers water activites. My husband and I went parsailing there before.
i believe the ritz has beach cabanas as well. Naples is beautiful, enjoy.

Our wedding was in Naples at La Playa, right next door to the Ritz! The restaurant at La Playa (Balleen) is very good - they have a nice bar and outdoor dining - great views. I second the Turtle Club - excellent food - and I believe within walking distance to the Ritz. Fifth Ave is the place to hang out in the evenings....we had our rehearsal dinner at an Italian restaurant, Vergina, which I also recommend. There are lots of great restaurants/cafes, shops, art galleries, etc. You will be able to walk right out onto the sand of Vanderbilt Beach from your hotel - it's beautiful! I am hoping we can make it back there for one of anniversaries....I am jealous....enjoy your trip!
