There are days when I'm pulling my hair out as well but 99% of the time they are great kids and we all have a wonderful time together - we shed a lot of tears on the last day of term for those that were going to 'big' school.
It will be interesting this year as we have a very young year for going to school next September, a lot of July and August birthdays.

It'll do your throat good! (was that the answer you were looking for?)

:rotfl: I kept an eye on some Quaker children mid-July for about 2 days solid at a gathering - they were generally well behaved; until the last day :rotfl2: Drove me mad at that point :)

I can cope with them in small doses but all day :scared1:

When I was at school I worked hosting Kids parties.... That was a nightmare job!! They were always manic.......... Absolute nightmare. Never again. That job is the reason I don't want children.

Dont let that put you off having children - looking after your own is very different from other peoples - believe me Ive had 4

- couldnt work with children all day though - it would drive me mad

I am a teacher, this year I have a class of 8 year olds. I only have 23 this year though which is nice. Last year I had 30 kids aged 10/11 in my class. They were fun (and very hormonal by the time they left for secondary school in July!) Now our nursery teacher who has 12 children still in nappies, that I couldn't do!

Oh and I don't have kids myself either, and don't plan on having any! DH is a teacher too although he has 11 - 18 year olds.

There were about 7 or 8 of them I think and basically I (and one other person) were responsible for them from when we got up in the morning (about 8ish) until they went to bed (the older ones at 16/17 went to be about 12).

I also ended up with the "privilege" of taking them swimming - quite a challenge as I was wearing my glasses and not my contact lenses that weekend (very rare I do that), so I couldn't see very much in the pool!

I finally went mad when I had a yoghurt pot thrown at me from the balcony above (my own fault for walking down below them really :rotfl: ), followed by having to chase one of the younger girls round the building a couple of times before I could persuade to come into the session.

I enjoyed it though :rotfl2:

I agree. I have 3 children and I am a teacher. At last, I have something to contribute!:yay:

I don't think either of us will ever want kids. We prefer puppies, etc, and just have no desire to be parents. Roberts mother hates me for it, but we've told her its tough (Plus I wouldn't leave my kids alone with that woman for anything.).

10/11 yr olds I could cope with - I used to be a secondary teacher so thats not that much different. They are more independant.
I now work with teenagers in a different capacity but not with them all day everyday

:rotfl: Not in that sense  I wouldn't want to have wasted all the time it took to get the police check done and returned.

Glad you cleared that one up :rotfl: I wouldnt have wanted to get child protection onto you

nothin planned today, but am sooooooooooooooo tired!! and i got work tonight :sad2:

Thanks for the birthday wishes:thumbsup2

I'm feeling a bit sad and depressed... We had a great holiday, it was warm and relaxing and nice to have everyone around esp my mum. It's hard being back in London, Jeremy started working this morning and Mia is going back to school. The weather is pants, cool but luckily dry today and I'm wondering when I'll see my mum and dad again. We asked them to visit us at Christmas but since their visas ran out, they'll have to get new ones. The British Embassy has increased the prices so now one visa costs 283 Euros which is absurd!!! The salaries there are very low, more or less 200 Eur per month so imagine... And the tickets cost over 300 Eur per person. They'll have to find over 1300 Eur in total to get their visas and tickets...

I'm so sorry I said far too much but just feel the need to open up to someone...

 vent away we will always listen:goodvibes

Off to get Robert from work! TTFN!

See you later Bob:thumbsup2

My niece & nephew have just left & I feel like I need to have a nap:rotfl: I will be glad when my niece gets out of the asking "why" after everything I say. She starts school/nursery on Thursday:eek: the 3 years have gone by quickly
