We wont be taking a big vacation this year for our anniversary as planned because we are wanting to save money. We are going to be getting season passes for all of us to Six Flags in Louisville though (they arent that expensive at all). We were thinking that for our anniversary though we would go spend the weekend up there just the 2 of us (we have family to watch our 2 kids for 2 nights). We do want to make it a nice romantic yet fun week end. We dont want to get stuck in some blah hotel. Anyone from there have a good hotel or suggestion for us? Its about 3hrs from our hometown (where we are moving back to), but I dont think I have ever visited except for once w/ my Middle School.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott that was very nice about 6-7 years ago. You're best bet it to search it on tripadvisor to find which hotels rated high in that area. That's what I do anytime I go anywhere. So far it has been great.

There are several nice hotels in the area. There is now a Crowne Plaza not far from Six Flags but of you want to go farther away the Courtyard Downtown is nice as well. I live about 45 minutes from there but we got to Holiday World and Splashing Safari as my kids like that much better. Six Flags KK is not the cleanest park just so you are aware.
