I have Turbo Twist Spelling and Math games for my kids. I'm curious about the Mind Station Connector and the cartridges that you can program by hooking up the internet.

Does anyone have this product? If so, are you required to pay any fees to be able to access the Leap Frog website? If extra fees are involved, how much is it?

Is this product (Mind Stattion Connector) something that is useful to kids? I'd like to be able to program the cartridges with my kids weekly spelling words and other things. Is it easy to use?

Please fill me in. I like learning to be fun for my 6th, 3rd, and 1st graders!

Thanks!

I haven't used the mind station and the online tracking and
downloading in over a year. If I remember correctly it was $50?
for a year.
Like all things, ease of use is key and it was just simpler to use
the pre-programmed cartridges.

If it sounds too good to be true (where I could program my kids weekly spelling words directly onto the cartridge), it probably costs money!!! I guess somebody's gotta pay for their website!!! (Getting advertisers to pay would be too easy.)

If parents want the service for their kids, they should be rich enough to pay for it, right???? But I could look at it another way - $50/yr. divided by 3 kids using the cartridge = $16.67 per kid per year divided by 9 months of use during the school year = $1.85 per kid per month.

Does this sound like a logical way to approach or to justify this cost???? :confused3
