OT: Lands End bathing suits

I have Lands End bathing suits for myself and I love them.

DD10 needs new suits and I was going to order some for her from Lands End. Does anyone know how their girls' suits run? DD usually wears an 8 in clothes, so I was thinking of getting a 10 for a swimsuit.

Any advice? Thanks!

I've had problems with the LE swimsuits being too large. I wouldn't order up a size. If anything, order down.

I just checked my DD's closets. We went through their clothes for the spring/summer and moved out the stuff that didn't fit them so I know the sizes in their closets are the right ones. For both children their Land's End swimsuits are one size larger than their regular clothing. They could wear the suits that are the same size as their clothing but they look a little skimpy.

We've found the suits to be pretty true to size. What we do with DD15, is order the same suits in two sizes -- just did that last night. We'll return the wrong sized suit to our local Sear's store to avoid return shipping charges.

Sorta OT...I order at my local LE Inlet and don't have to pay shipping. (You have to go to the brick and mortar store, but I am just cheap enough that I do it...) Maybe Sears does that too?

Okay, I looked in my first email from them and it did have the code written out (subsequent emails I had to click on a link). So here it is!

I only order if there is a free ship code (which there usually is) but I have been known to make a trip to the store to get the free s/h too. You just sit down and do it yourself on their computer.. no big deal at all.

Yeah, I've tried that, too, but our Sears store is awful. Their computer to place LE orders never works and then you have to wait for a phone to be able to talk to LE to place the order. I'm all about free s/h!

I order the same size as the clothes they are wearing from LE and it usually works out. Ocassionally, depending on the style of the suit, we go one size up..they both have long torsos so sometimes they need the extra length of the next size.

Just bought 2 for DD6 in a 7 and had to re-order both in an 8. She is tall and skinny and the bigger size just gave more coverage.
