OT: Is this do-able in a day?

Hi! I have a question for those of you familar with L.A. Is this do-able in day?

Arrive at LAX at 8:30 am on a Saturday (in March).
Get rental car.
Take a scenic drive: Drive up the coast; Take Sunset Blvd to to Griffith Park area.
Go to Descanso Gardens (Pasadena area) for a tram tour at 2:00 or 3:00.
Check into Hotel (Hilton Universal City).
Go to Citywalk: 6:30 Wizardz Magic Club & Dinner Theater

Any suggestions?

Hi TigerBear! Yes, it's doable, it's a lot of driving but you won't have commuter traffic on a Saturday. Certain freeways (such as parts of the 405 and 101) are busy ALL the time, even on weekends, so plan for some traffic delays. But you should be able to make all the highlights you mentioned.
