HI! :wave2: Did anyone notice the high interest rates offered by ICIC and now PC Finanical ? The rates are even higher than ones offered by the major banks.

For those are using (or used) PC Financial savings account, do you like their service?

One drawback i notice is that you can't withdraw cash instantly from ATM, you have to move $ to cheqing one day in advance first.

Hello!

I've been using PC for a long time. I LOVE the fact that there are NO FEES. I never have cash on me, so the unlimited Interac is a great feature for me. You can get cash out of any ATM right away if it is in your chequing account, but you're right, you can't access your savings right away.

I have had no problems with their services, but I only do very basic things. Cheques come fast, the online banking is great, and you also get PC Points that I have used to put towards LOTS of free groceries (having the PC Mastercard helps too).

I have heard bad stories about mortgages etc., but I have had no problems with everyday banking.

NO FEE is awesome. No monthly fees, unlimited cheques, unlimited Interac... I love it! :thumbsup2

We banked with them previously. Since they are an extension of CIBC we never felt we could get good service. We both banked with CIBC for over 20 years and even though we always paid our bills on time and never missed a payment they still treated us like like we did not even exist. Waiting inline at a kiosk in a grocery store is not my idea of customer service. PC banking is good if you have just basic savings and chequing needs. If you have investments etc you need full service banking. We now bank with First Calgary as the customer service at First Calgary is so superior.

We've been banking with them for years. I have 5 accounts (personal chequing, joint chequing, and 3 seperate savings accounts) plus a line of credit and we both have PC Mastercards. Never had a problem. Yes sometimes it has been a pain when there is a line-up at the grocery store kiosk machines, but I also have a CIBC drive-thru machine right by work so I use that a lot more. We have cashed A LOT of PC points for groceries, movie passes and merchandise. I am always comparing my NO FEES and points cashed to my dad who pays Scotiabank almost $20 a month!

The one thing I love is the fact that I can't use my bank card to withdraw from my savings accounts. Having to wait 24 hrs for the money is usually a good thing for me...I can talk myself out of rash spending!!

I do all my banking online and it is super simple paying bills and the like. I would highly recommend it if you're self-sufficient and confident with online banking.

We've had accounts with them for years and have really enjoyed the no fee banking. We do almost everything online since our closest kiosk is 40 minutes away. My sister-in-law works for CIBC and even with their employee programs they still pay more in fees than we ever had. I have noticed I don't rack up PC points as quickly as I once did. They must have changed their policy in the last year or so but other than that, if you are comfortable with online and telephone banking, I highly recommend them.

We're exactly the same. Right down to the credit line and Mastercards. I have no problem with the bank machine at the grocery store. Also there is a kiosk with a person at our store who has always been helpful. The no fees seals the deal for me.
