OT-info for newbie to iphone, ipod touch

my DD is thinking her Xmas list and had mentioned her friends have the ipod touch. Is that also have internet access? What type of internet access does it have. Fees-etc

I was also interested in iphone. can you get this through any plan. currently with Telus til Jan. do you pay additional fees to regular cell plans? Who is the best phone provider for these? thx

You can access the Internet with a touch as long as you have wifi.

I'm considering getting an Iphone as well. You will need to go with Rogers though because Telus doesn't have it. HTH

Thanks for the info. But do you have to pay Rogers for the Wifi or connect with your home provider,. (sorry this is all new )

Is it an additional fee, are there any limits or restrictions? How about texting?

For the Touch just use your own Wifi or free Wifi when you are out somewhere.

For the iPhone, they have data plans.

Rogers and Fido are the only carriers for the iphone.
