OT - I'm soo excited even this awful weather can't get me down!

They cancelled school for today last night at 10 PM. The kids and dog are already making a mess! The weather forcast for tomorrow looks equally nasty, so they probably won't have school tomorrow either, BUT I'm in a great mood becase...

**I put cruise deposit down on Friday,
**Booked my airfare on Saturday,

**Got our confirmation for the new Ron Jon Resort in the mail on Saturday,

**My mother-in-law said she's glad we've decided to fly and gave us even $$$ to cover 3/4 of our tickets,
**One of my best friends and her two boys (who are very good friends with my boys) decided she is coming along,
**My husband is being very patient with me as I devote every waking moment to planning or talking about this trip!


Can life get any better?????

Denise, I am exhausted just reading that thread!! You sound so busy!!

School was cancelled here today as well, but not from snow! It was -30 this morning and they couldn't get the school busses to start!

I am freezing...where is that smiley that has the snow on it? I really need it right now!!

Lucky you. If I was doing all that I would not mind the cold weather either. But hey, we're going to WDW in 30 some days so I can't complain. But it is bitterly cold here (about 10), with school.

My kids are off today, too. Looks like freezing rain and at least a 2-hr delay tomorrow. Possible bad weather on Wednesday, too.

But, I've just changed our ressie for Portofino Bay at Universal Studios (2 Queen Beds, Bay View) for $202 per night using the APH rate. That saved me another $50 total over the FAN Club rate I had booked. We're staying there for the last 3 nights of our next trip to Orlando. Makes me feel warm all over to save $$$.

There's nothing like snow and cold weather to get you thinking about a Disney vacation!

P.S. - You're going to LOVE the Disney Cruise! We've done both the 4-night and the 7-night Western Caribbean. Everything was absolutely the best...just what you would expect from Disney! I'm envious!

My kids are home today too, but not because of the weather. Because it is there "mid-winter" break. Because we got some snow and ice at the begining of the new year, my kids have yet to see a full week of school because of in-service days, MLK day, and now "mid-winter" break. Like they really needed another day off.

But that's okay, because today I'm booking our arrival and departure Holiday Inn hotels for our trip in which we leave in 1 week, 2 days, 1 hour and 40 minutes. Woo hoo! It's almost here!

Yes you are going to love the DC! We went on our first one last year (we started out with the 3 night since the kids are 6 and 9~we didnt know how they would be on water for 4 days)
and now we are spoiled. As you can see by my timer we are going on our second one this May(we stepped up to the 4 night). I am already talking about doing the 7 night next year.

It's nice when good things happen all at once.

We are starting to get the storm that you guys all got earlier. It supposed to hit tonight. I'm also hoping for a snow day!!!

We have already cancelled Brownies and our school council meeting. It's a nice night to stay in and put on the fire and have a nice drink.
By the way I did a First Aid course this weekend and PASSED! So at the mmet if anyone needs First Aid...................
