I can relate to your comment that Mantis played ping pong with your head. There used to be a coaster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA that did the same thing. They would tell the riders to remove their earings before boarding. Well I did not and found out the hard way why they did. When I got off the ride I was bleeding from where the earing posts punctured the skin. That was a real Ouch!

The park looks like real fun but I'm with Pink, don't think you'll see me ride TTD anytime soon.

I love going to Cedar Point. I can totally relate to the Mantis bouncing your head around like a ping pong ball. I'm only 5'2'' and the ride just throws my head all around and I get the worst headaches. Now, I just skip riding the Manits.
Pink, I have not and will not ride Top Thrill Dragster either! I am not cool with the "You may not make it all of the way to the top on the first try." Yeah, no thanks.

From the pic of the new coaster's tracks, it looks like another Intamin creation. But it's kinda hard to tell since it's so far away.
And rcdb doesn't have the company listed.

Being a coaster enthusiast I'm not one to force my friends to ride any ride. I also know that certain rides scare and intimidate people. TTD looks like a scary ride, buts it over VERY quickly, my advice to most people that say they don't want to ride it is that they won't have time to be scared. It's over so fast. I was surprised that the accleration is less forceful the Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm which only goes 60 MPH and uses the same technology as TTD. For the least scary ride sit in the 2nd or 3rd car. The further back you sit the more negative G's coming over the top. View from the front seat was awsome coming down from the top. After that ride though we tried to sit near the back.

Now I wanna go more!!! Top Thrill Dragster looks as awesome as ever! Wonder what it's like on it... I love roller coasters and am dying to try it. Wonder which is better... Kingda Ka or Top Thrill Dragster?

WOW! Great pictures. I live an hour south of Cedar Point... been there more times than I can count but love it. Geauga Lake is great too. Pretty good coasters there... Kings Island is fun too but that's 3 hrs away ! Glad you enjoyed your trip. I'll have to make it up there soon!! Thanks for sharing

Millenium Force is my all-time favorite! Love those big drops! And Top Thrill Dragster is awesome! Riding it at dusk was a mistake though--DH and I looked at each other at the end of the ride and just started laughing....We both had a bunch of teeny-tiny little bugs (gnats?) plastered to the front of us. Definitely keep your mouth closed riding this one!!

Wow, nice pics! My one and only time at Cedar Point was in 1998.
Back then, the top of the line coaster was the Magnum. (When I rode it
for the first time, my friend next to me was not happy. He said he swallowed
a bug. LOL)

I don't know if I have the courage to ride TTD, but I will go on just about any
coaster. You know what I really liked? Power Tower. I liked the side that
shoots you up like a champagne bottle cork. Whee!
