OT - I have a new job!

Some of you know I've been a bit fed up of work recently....

Well, a couple of weeks go I happened to see a post advertised at DS(12)'s school and, long story short, I got the job No more communitng, just a 15 minute walk. Its full time, so I don't get all the vacations off, but as its so close I get an extra 2 hours each day anyway

I start on 5/21 - wish me luck!!

I take the train at the moment - but it will save about £2k (considering the money is taxed before I spend it). I'l be able to fill the crockpot before I go to work and we'll all be able to eat together instead of someone feeding the boys first I do lose out on having Friday off, but I expect I can live with that

I certainly won't miss that train journey - I've been commuting for nearly 30 years now and been in the civil service almost half my life so a) I'm getting too old for all this and b) its time to make a move before I get even older
