OT: I got PhotoShop!!

Hey Guys! My little brother came over the other night & I showed him what I have been attempting on designs- He knows how to do all this stuff and so much more- He is amazing! He got me PhotoShop CS3 (He has CS4 but my computer needs more memory or something before I can have that one) He also has many DVD's of tuts that are step by step- he gave them all to me- Showed me some stuff- It is so awesome- I am trying it out today so I hope to have something to post later! I am so excited!! Only thing is I am still trying out PI (3 days left on trial) so I have to convert my UFO files to gif or jpeg or such so I can use them in PS but that is fine- I am going to take advantage of trying both- I have to say with what all he was showing me - I think I will love PS- I am now collecting my files in more organized folders so I can just pull from where I need to rather than browsing to find something for so long- LOL
Just wanted to post- & share- I shall return! LOL

LOL I am not so sure yet! But with everything you have showed me in PI I see myself watching the tuts and saying- well, I can do that in PI- Some seems as though the steps are more involved and other things seem easier- I am off to play a bit with it- I have spent about 3 hours watching DVD's on how- to's and although my brother said they are beginner tuts- They seem very involved- LOL
We will see- I told him that PI is coming and he said well, then you can see which you like better- He said "I am going to play GuiterHero, you play around and I will check on you later" I opened PI- LOL I think I am a bit overwhelmed with it- This will definitely take one step at a time- Right now I am off to play w/ the Mickey heads you sent me LOL
What can I say- I am old, it's hard to change- I will definitely try it though but I am on information overload!

I sent you about 7 emails from both my verizon and my aol account. I believe they can be opened in PE also.

How fun! I've never used PI, Always been a photoshop fan! Must be quite a switch to learn any new program. Each software has its own pros and cons...as I'm sure you'll learn that there are features in PI that you will miss! Can't wait to see the fun stuff you come up with!

Okay- really getting frustrated again but I guess that is normal as I did a similar frustration post not long after I started trying PI- LOL My brother made it all look so easy and I can do the tutorials- No problem there- But I don't want to make a girl w/ orbs floating around or agirl w/ a tatooed face- I want to put my ideas together and none of these tuts are making me feel like I can take the info and apply it to my own pics- This will be a long learning experience- LOL
Obviously many many options in PS but really info overload- LOL
I will keep attempting to play and we'll see how long before I can post something-
BTW- Chaos, I have played in PI w/ the open MH blank- I made a cute design but can't get the outside of the template to "go away" LOL I'll send it to ya!
