does the tooth fairy bring your children when they loose their teeth?
Our almost 6 year old has a very loose tooth- and my husband and I wondered what every one gave.
Thanks,
Shawna

I think everyone does something different but for us the front centrals and molars were "worth more" than the small teeth at the bottom. I think we gave a $1 for these, .25 or .50 for the small front teeth. It's been a while so not sure!

The tooth fairy brings my DD a Disney Dollar for each tooth. :teeth:

Well, for the FIRST tooth she brings $5...with a note that it's only the FIRST and LAST tooth that gets that much! All other teeth get a gold dollar!

We are going to do $5 for the first and last and a gold dollar of the others. I can not believe my little boy has a loose tooth! It is kinda sad, he is growing up so fast.

Shawna - if it's any consolation....my "baby" (who is 11) just lost her LAST tooth a week ago.....I was a weepy fool!

Don't forget to take a picture of the "almost" out tooth! and a pic of the big "hole" after!!! It makes a great scrapbook page!

we did $5 for the first tooth only too! the tooth fairy can't do that much for each tooth...she has to save for Disney too! :rotfl:

This tooth fairy needs to save for our Disney Cruise. :rotfl2: We will give him 5 for the first tooth only. I have already taken a few pictures- I can not believe that it is already happening! I did not realize how old he was getting.

I think we did $5 for the first tooth and then usually $1 for the others. My DD just lost her 4th tooth while spending time at my In Laws and got $2.00. I laughed and said that she was lucky because their tooth fairy must be rich!

We have been giving a dollar a tooth unless DS has a specific request. For his second tooth he told us he really hoped the tooth fairy would bring him three quarters. I guess three quarters seems like more money than one dollar. I don't think we'll get away with that by the time he loses his last tooth! :rotfl:

Our Tooth Fairy brings $5 for the first one and $1 for the others. But if one has a cavity, then my son has to leave her money. Hey a tooth with a cavity weighs more for her to carry.
3 teeth gone and no cavities

Our tooth fairy replaces the tooth (in the pocket of the little tooth fairy pillow, which is placed on the chair NEXT to the bed so life is easy for the tooth fairy!) with a little note with hints about where to find a treat. She's never given money, but instead little Lego sets or other such trinkets that are the current heart's desire -- not unlike the things Santa leaves in the stocking (hey, maybe he and the tooth fairy shop in the same place?).

For families eager to get away from the money/stuff proliferation, I heard one cute idea (if you have 'em handy) -- leave a couple of foreign coins. These get saved/collected and treasured rather than spent, and the domination is not the issue (could be pennies!).

Our tooth fairy leaves a dollar coin for 1st, 50 cent piece for second and 25 cents for the rest. Sometimes the tooth fairy leaves stickers too. Our tooth fairy is frugal! :rotfl:

our tooth fairy forgot several times with the last child....my DS....oh boy what a putz she is.

We gave a $1 per tooth and $2 when she was running late or couldn't find it under his pillow and had to come during the day. :(....

He was 10 when he knew about the "real" tooth fairy and still said...."hey how much do I get now?"...lol!

Im 38 years old and I think the tooth fairy ripped me off when I was younger. I only got 10 cents a tooth. I want to file a grievance. LOL

Ha: no kidding! I got a quarter a tooth and thought I was rich.

Hey, my DH thinks it's really strange that my dad has kept all of my and my sister's teeth in a box on top of his dresser. He thinks it is gross to keep all those somewhat bloody teeth for 30 plus years. Thoughts?

He pulled it out today and will get a fat five dollar bill tonight under his pillow. DH and I agreed- five for the first and two each tooth after that. I think that is fair and fairly easy.
He was so excited today! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Thanks for all your help.
Shawna

PS- I filed a grievance and the tooth fairy said tuff- I have gotten more out of her over the years.
