OT- How much do you tip your hairdresser

How much do people tip their hairdresser? Do you do a %?

I usually tip 20%

I usually tip $5-$6 for a $37 haircut and style. When I used to pay $25 when I lived in Texas I also tipped $5. For my kids I tip $1-$2 because the cost of the cut is so much less--unless they really didn't cooperate that is!

15-20%, usually on the 20% end.

I'm a part-time stylist, and I usually get about 15% for cuts, 20% for chemical services (color, perm, etc.).

I just had a wash, cut and blowdry. I used a gift certificate but the value was $32. I tipped $5, so I guess about 16%. Hopefully that's not too bad.
