OT- how do you multi quote

I have been on here for 2 years and still have never figured out how to do this, can someone help me??? Thanks!

Instead of clicking on the quote button, click the one in the middle (the "+ button) for each post you want to quote. When you are ready to post, click post reply and all the quotes you wanted will show up!

Many times I'll start reading through the threads without logging-in until I see something I want to reply to, so that button isn't there. I just log-in at the top corner and can then click to multi-quote.

Ok, so I tried that, but it still quotes the whole reply. What if I just want to quote a portion of someone's post??

I right-click and drag to highlight the stuff I DON'T want, excluding the technical stuff that makes it a quote, and hit "backspace" to erase it....

There might be a "proper" way to do it too, though!

I just highlight what I don't want and hit delete-I never thought about another way?

This I do know how to do. You quote the whole reply, but then delete the parts you don't want.
