OT-Holiday Presents for school staff?

For my DD's class we all put in to give one nice gift so I just picked up something small so my DD can give them something herself b/c she loves to do that. I got a small manicure set and the case is shaped like a purse. I figured I could not go wrong with that, everyone does some sort of grooming or another to themselves and it does not have to match anything, tastes, clothes, house, bathroom, whatever. I just hope they like them!!

I give my child's teacher a GC to Panera for herself/family. For the custodial staff, the parents get together and purchase a GC to a local supermarket chain; they generally get one GC for about $50 or so from each class. I know it seems slightly classist to give the teacher a sort of "fun" GC while the custodial staff gets one that is more for necessities, but over the years we have generally found that with the pay differential, the custodians appreciate the gift of groceries more than anything else. We don't have bus service, so that's not an issue.

The school actually sells these GC's as a fundraiser, so there is a double benefit in buying them.
