OT: High School Musical

It's official. My kids have watched the episode we taped on VHS so much we've worn it out. Anyone "heard" if it's coming to DVD? I bought my DD10 the CD. The company said it shipped last week so we're hoping it's hear any day.

My son taped it and is obsessed with it. We know every line and song by heart. He even downloaded the song lyrics and carries them around....

It is all my DS 10 wants to watch. It is really a big hit with the kids at school, even the ones that make fun of him for loving disney so much!!

Our two older DD's LOVE HSM Heck, DH and I really like it, too DD#2 told me this morning that she wished they could make a new Disney Music Trivia game so they could put HSM on there

According to the Feb 20 TV Guide, it's being re-aired on Feb 28th at 8pm (EST)

I missed it the first time around, so I'm going to TiVo it then.

My kids watch this alot, taped it on our dvr. There was an article in the TV Guide 20-26, 2006 edition saying that HSM will have a sequel.

"After earning record ratings and blitizing the music charts, Disney Channel is ready to go back to high school again. It's pushing ahead with a sequel to HSM." This movie was watched by 24.3 million viewers in the 5 times it aired, including the January 20 premiere.

It also said; Nine of the soundtrack songs have made the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart."

No indication when it will be made or relesaed, but the cast is already signed. My kids will be excited!!!

My DD12 is going to get that soundtrack for her brother who is turning 10 in March. It really is a wonderful movie, with catchy tunes!

My 8 y.o. DD loved High School Musical! We Tivo'd it and she got her little brother (6) into it as well. I surprised them by buying a few of the songs off of iTunes and burning them to CDs. My DS loves the Get'cha Head in the Game song. I'm sure we will buy the DVD when it becomes available

My daughter is having a sleepover at our house tonight and my hubby ordered the cd for her online (she got awesome grades ) and that was her reward.Well there was a knock at the door tonight when all hope was gone it would be here.I opened the door and THERE IT WAS!!! My daughter and her friends piled down the staircase, total bottleneck and caos,ripped open the box and FREAKED OUT... They all piled back up stairs and it blasted through the house speakers (we have a set of speakers put in the ceiling of every room in the house, even the bathrooms.)Hubbys idea! Anyway I have to remember I was that way with Andy Gibb .

Thank you for letting me know when it will air again. I'll have to have a fresh tape ready (sorry haven't gotten a DVD recorder yet). I still haven't gotten the CD soundtrack yet. It's killing my daughter. They said it shipped last week! And as for a sequel how cool. I'm sure the kids will love that. As I speak they are watching it, crappy tape or not. The youngest DD is 3 and is signing and dancing and quoting lines. Too cute.

My DD *loves* this! She wanted to get it for her friend fo rher birthday. I know it was a big hit at the school. Even my son liked this. I will definitely have to see about getting it. I just told DD it's being re-aired and her comment was 'we are so watching it'.
