OT help with hitch

Hi all...I am sorry for the off topic subject, but I needed some help and I figured you all would be my best solution

I have recently purchased a 2006 jayco jay feather 26L. Its GVWR is 5800 (dry weight 4475) and its tongue weight is a whopping 770. Our tow vehicle will be a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali XL.

I am looking at the equilizer hitch, and I am assuming I will need the 10,000GTW/1000 TW weight distribution hitch.

Would you towing experts agree with this? Too much hitch? Too little hitch? Thanks in advance

I'm sure you will get help here but also check on RV.net. We have a Yukon 3/4 ton. Our hitch weight you around 900 lbs. We tow with a Hensley and have never had a problem. It does everything the video claims. Safe towing.

we have 2001 suburban 1/2 ton. we have the equilizer too. awesome. we have had others..this is the best bang for the money. A little pricey but much easier to drive with and make sharper turns with no problem...and no sway bars to take off. Good luck and happy camping

wow, I just check out the Hensley hitch on their web site.. pretty nice, that is a very good option too. I would look into both and see which would works best for you.

I now have about 20,000 miles on an Equalizer hitch. I think they are the best bang for the buck and provide both load distributing and sway control. Hope you have as much fun as i do with your new TT. Don't forget the Fort rocks
