OT Help! Need # to McAfee Security

Hello fellow Dissers,
I am hoping you can help me with a problem I am having with my computer. Apparently the computer has a virus and I am trying to get ahold of McAfee (our online security/virus protector) but my computer keeps booting me out of their site. Does anyone know how to contact them? Thanks so much!!!!

Download AVG. It's free and you can find it from a google search. If you do have a virus, I'm sure it'll find it.

Our virus protection provider tried to charge us $90 for tech support. Microsoft support will give you free assistance to remove a virus as long as you have a registered version of windows.

It is so funny that I just saw your post. Not 5 minutes ago I got rid of a virus I'd been fighting for 2 months. My computer had McAfee but I think it had expired. I started getting a bunch of pop ups and extra things added to bottom tool bar. About 2 months ago I downloaded Comodo but it still did not get rid of the problem. Tonight I found Malwarebytes anti-malware download link while researching my problem. I downloaded it and it took off - I'm so happy!!!! The Comodo is still there and seems to be working. I'm thinking it may protect now that I'm rid of the bad stuff. 15 minutes to fix what had been driving me nuts for months. Maybe it would work for you.

For what it's worth, we have had two separate computers go down while we were McAfee users. Not fun. Once we switched to Norton we haven't had any problems. Knock wood!

McAfee is notoriously unreliable.

Try to download AVG. Its free and really, really good.

I've used both Norton and McAfee in the past. I got bad viruses with both of them but since I downloaded AVG I have had NO problems at all!! I use the free version and it's great. You can just search AVG and it will pop up. Oh and on our old Gateway (before we got the computer we have now) I had the McAfee installed, got the virus, uninstalled McAfee and installed AVG. AVG found and got rid of the virus that McAfee couldn't find at all....
