OT ~ Has anybody here been to Sandals, Cuba?

The reason why I am asking is, I think I won a trip for two there!

OMG! And I still have not told my boss I need 2 1/2 weeks for my vacation next summer! Now I have to ask for another week off!

I won it on Fabulous Fun Fridays thru OmniTV! It's the Multicultural TV Station here in Toronto! They post their secret word then you enter on line!

I was actually after the Pizza Pizza Party for DD's birthday but hey!

I find out all details on Monday!

Wow, how exciting (and lucky) Janet. My DB and SIL have been to Cuba although I don't know where they stayed. They did say it was really nice but really poor looking outside of the resort. They did swim with dolphins while they were there!

Please let us know all the details on Monday!

Where in Cuba is this resort located?

I don't send a whole lot of people to Sandal's resorts, but I don't remember there being one in Cuba. I just checked the Sandal's website and they don't list one in Cuba.

but have been to..Sandals Inn, Dunn's River, Sandals Ochos Rios....

It's in Veradero. There is a Sandals and a Beaches property. I went to the local CAA to get info cause there is not much info on their website.

Apparently the Sandals is a Couples only and the Beaches is a 16+ Adult Only! One of the agents just got back from the Beaches one and was not impressed!

I'll wait until Monday to find out!

Ok, I did not want to take the day off work so I phoned them.......

So it's a week at either Sandals or Beaches, Cuba.

All Inclusive!

I don't have to bring a "Male Friend" so I have asked a long time friend who has helped me thru all my difficult times, plus it was her birthday last week!LOL Cheap Present!LOL

Now to find someone to take care of my DD!

Now to pick which dates?

Wow! It's gonna be a big year for vacations! I hope I can make time for my job!LOL

So happy to her about your winning the trip. I have never been to a Sandals (out of my league, price wise) but have heard a lot about them from other Caribbean travellers. This is a very high end resort , usually on nicest beaches, best pools, and AWESOME food. Food quality is usually one of the most important aspects when I plan a trip and I have heard over and over again that Sandals offers a huge selection of different types of food and usually many restaurants per property.

Not sure, but I think that Beaches allow children on their properties but Sandals do not. Just keep that in mind when choosing which hotel you prefer.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.
