OT: Guitar Lessons-when to start?

My son is 7 yrs old and he loves to strum his child-sized guitar. He tries to make up songs (of course they all sound the same) but he really enjoys it. Is he too young for guitar lessons? When is a good time for kids to start? Thanks.

Now is a great time I think while the spark of interest is there! Now the piano at 5 was not my smartest move but learned quickly after that anytime the spark of interst is there go for it!

You won't regret giving your DS some guidance and great opportunity to build self confidence and gain a little praise.

My DD6 just starteds taking guitar lessons. Just make sure the instructor is good with small kids. She loves to practice and can now play a recognizable rain rain go away.
