OK, it's "Desperate Housewives", of course, but we always say "Housecats" because, well... Never mind. ;)

*Anyway*, it started out as kind of silly. Everyone wanted to know who was killed by the airplane crashing down Wisteria Lane. ( :rolleyes1 ). After that, it was a series of "what if's" imagined by some of the major characters. Some were pretty good, others kind of silly.

But, out of the blue during the last 15 minutes came "Lynette's" sequence, involving what it might be like to raise a special needs child.

It was *brilliant*. For those who watched it, the scene in the kitchen where her son is making his own sandwich for the first time while she struggles not to help him had tears rolling down my face. It was as moving as it was unexpected. True Emmy winning material, IMO. My respect for Felicity Huffman grew even larger.

What did everyone else think ?

I totally agree...Felicity deserves an Emmy for that performance. We usually laugh ourselves sick during this show, but the tears were streaming down our faces, especially when you can personally relate.

Absolutely the best episode I've seen in a long time. I even cried while watching. That seen in the kitchen, :sad1:.
Loved it, even though I don't like what happened to Carl, I really was liking him and Bree.

Oh, thank you for posting that it is back :goodvibes for some reason I thought it was back in a week or two :confused3
That means I can watch the double episode of Heroes and DH tonight :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: (can you tell the TV over here has been pretty bad over Christmas :rotfl:)

I thought that sequence in particular was brilliant. I enjoyed the whole episode overall. I am not sad to see Carl go. I didn't like the character blend with Bree. I want the uppity, Martha-like Bree back! I do wish they would bring back " the kids" a bit more. Where's Andrew and his partner? What about the killer from the diner/Julie's attacker. They didn't touch that. Hopefully more to come. I really enjoy this show again this season. Thanks for starting this thread.
