***OT*** Gordon County, GA (Calhoun)????

We are thinking of relocating here. Is it nice? Any information would be greatly appreciated. What is the closest airport? How are the schools? TIA

May I ask why Calhoun. I don't know much about the schools but I have a girlfriend that lives in Gordon County. It is still a small community and very few transplants. If you have the strength to put up with being the outsider and a Yankee at that then I will say it is gorgeous there. It is a great place to raise kids and within 2 hours of Atlanta. If I was relocating to Ga. I would pick Dekalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Henry, Clayton, Fulton, or Fayette County. They are a melting pot. You won't feel like a fish out of water. HTH
