I'm so excited! The friend I had planned to spend the weekend with called a couple of hours ago and asked if I wanted to go see Bruce Springsteen tomorrow night:cool1: . I'm not a rabid Springsteen fan, but I like him and I've been on the planet almost 44 years without seeing him in concert. My birthday is in 13 days, so I bought myself an early birthday present:thumbsup2 .

Just had to share my excitement!

Have a great time! Happy early birthday! :cheer2:

Hey, so am I!!! :thumbsup2

I am, unlike you, a RABID Springsteen fan. I think this will be the 4th time I've seen him. He puts on a fantastic show - you will not be disappointed!!

I'm not too excited about it being at Gillette (the other times were at the Fleet Center - much cozier - and with a roof!) but hey, Bruce is Bruce. I am super excited and have been listening to his music all week to get psyched up!

I'll be driving right by there on my way back from the Cape. What time does the show start? Want to try to avoid the traffic.

OOOhhhhhh.....I am sooo jealous! Huge fan here. Have seen him many times. IMHO, no one puts on a better show. I saw him most recently when he opened this tour in Hartford. If I hadn't gotten laid off, I'd be going again. You will have a great time!

Hey Kim, did you survive the rain to make it to the concert? It was worth it in the end, but boy was it brutal!! We had ponchos and we actually had a bit of an overhang where we were sitting but when the skies opened up like that of course it didn't matter and we got soaked!! But he was fantastic!! My favorite moment was Born to Run when they turned all the lights on and from what I could see everyone in the stadium was standing and down on the field people were dancing in the aisles. It was such an incredible moment!

Between the 2+ hours it took to get out of the parking lot :scared1: and the drive home I didn't get home until almost 4 am!

All night I was designing my scrapbook layout for the concert. I think I'll go with "Let it Rain, Let it Rain, Let it Rain, Let it Rain..." on the top of the page and "Turn it Up, Turn it Up, Turn it Up, Turn it Up..." on the bottom. ;)

Yes, I survived the storm:). We were on the top row of our club section, so we had the overhang that totally protected us. I had my Target $.99 poncho with me and I put it on for a bit, but I really didn't need it. They were selling ponchos inside for $5!

Born to Run, Glory Days, and Dancin' in the Dark was my favorite part of the whole thing. We were on our feet dancing like we were still young, LOL. Our designated driver has seen Bruce about 40 times and when he went into his last song, we bailed and got out of the parking lot immediately (I didn't know that song anyway, so I didn't feel ripped off or anything). We got back to Boston around 1:00 and were in bed by 1:14:).

I loved the stadium. I hope I can get Pats tickets some day (though now I am spoiled and feel that they must be club seats:)).

Hubby was there Saturday night, but only because he works there. He said the show started late because the storm the blew through made Bruce late. I saw him last time he was at Gillette and it was an awesome show. I wanted to go this time too, but since we're trying to save money, not spend it, I didn't bother trying to get a ticket.

We live 3 miles from Gillette and the trip that usually takes 7 minutes took him 30 minutes after the show, and he didn't even leave until 2:00am.
